The next summer meeting of SPCL will be hosted by the University of Amsterdam, and will take place in Amsterdam, June 18-20, 2007. This will be a joint meeting with ACBLPE. The conference is dedicated to the memory of our esteemed colleague Jacques Arends, and we wish its theme to focus on the areas that he was most influential in developing, namely gradualism and population studies. We also invite papers on all other areas of contact linguistics and Pidgin and Creole studies..
