Law, Markets and Behaviour (LLM track)
The law faculties of the UvA (University of Amsterdam) and the VU (Vrije Universiteit) have combined their expertise to cover the a breadth of information in this programme. This multidisciplinary Master's track will deepen your understanding of the law and foster your knowledge of the fields with which the law interacts, such as corporate finance, psychology and ethics. Selective joint UvA-VU programme
Law, Markets and Behavior is a selective, international programme, accepting approximately thirty participants annually. Students study and work together throughout the year at the VU and UvA campuses, forming strong bonds that last into their professional careers. This programme is formally a track of the Dutch Master's programme in Corporate Law (Ondernemingsrecht) at the VU. The diploma awarded will be a Master's Ondernemingsrecht.
The modern lawyer: not just the law, but finance and behavior as well
This Master's track delivers lawyers who know their way in the wider arena of the future. Tort law, contract law, corporate law, regulatory law and insolvency law are subjects at the heart of this Master's and the anatomy of these fields will be explored in depth. But further perspectives are added. We will examine the legal side of corporate finance and also delve into the underlying balance sheets and profit and loss accounts; we will examine the regulatory framework in which banks operate and also question their role in society as a whole; we will examine the structure of contract law and also focus on the psychology behind contract-negotiations and dispute resolution.
