Research

Members carry out research in different fields of Linguistics within the research institute Amsterdam Center for Language and Communication. The main areas of expertise are the following:

  • Formal study of Romance languages, with emphasis on generative syntax and semantics
  • First and second language acquisition, bilingual acquisition
  • Historiography of Linguistics
  • Language contact and multilingualism
  • Diachronic study of Romance languages
