Imagery rescripting of emotional memories

PhD defence ceremony

Imagery Rescripting (IR) is a promising transdiagnostic psychotherapeutic technique that focuses on the modification of dysfunctional emotional memories. Though it has proven effective in a variety of disorders ranging from anxiety and trauma-related disorders to depression and personality disorders, research on the working mechanisms underlying IR is still in its infancy. Anna Kunze investigates these mechanisms through a number of studies that systematically determine the effects on artificially induced and clinically persistent emotions.
