Mucolpolysaccharidosis Type III (MPS III or Sanfilippo disease) is a rare but severe disease affecting the central nervous system, which leads to progressive neurocognitive deterioration. Olga Meijer investigates the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in MPS III. She also discusses different therapies for the disease that are currently being investigated.
