Indirect responsibility of states

16Feb2018 12:00 - 13:00

PhD defence ceremony

Erik Kok investigates the law of state responsibility. States often cooperate and influence each others' conduct and this inevitably raises questions of responsibility for the acts that take place within this framework or result from the influence exerted. he focuses specifically in cases where a state is made to bear responsibility for the acts of another state's organ. The main purpose of his research is to map rules on indirect responsibility.
