PhD defence ceremony

These days the emergence of antibiotic resistance, combined with a lac of new antibiotic agents, is one of the biggest healthcare problems worldwide. A better use of the current agents is necessary to help control antimicrobial resistance. In her research, Frederike van Daalen focuses on improving antibiotic treatment in daily hospital practice through the involvement of physicians with direct responsibility for patient's daily care.
