11:00 - 12:00
In recent decades, economic and demographic changes have put pressure on social security systems all over the world, and many countries have legislated and/or implemented measures to enhance the sustainability of their pension system. Ronnie van Maurik investigates the main political, macroeconomic and demographic drivers of pension reforms. He also explores whether these drivers differ between OECD and non-OECD countries and investigates the consequences of such reforms for voluntary household savings.
