Oncology Related Communication Disorders

Research within the research group Oncology Related Communication Disorders (ORCD) focuses on the communicative implications of head and neck cancer. This includes the effects of tumour location (i.e. at the level of the sound source [laryngeal cavity] or above the sound source [pharynx and oral cavity]) and the effects of treatment (i.e. radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and/or surgery) on aspects of communication such as voice and speech intelligibility.
