About the ACLC
Amsterdam Center for Language and Communication
The Amsterdam Centre for Language and Communication (ACLC) is an institute for linguistic research within the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Amsterdam in which researchers studying linguistics from many different angles collaborate.
The strength of the ACLC is the broadness of its research and the interaction between different types of approaches. The research program The Language Blueprint of the ACLC takes full advantage of this broadness by integrating these various approaches in their search for the essential properties of language. The ACLC's research focus Learnability singles out a central topic within this overall research program.
The ACLC strives to maintain its broadness by operating internationally in terms of recruitment, training, and hosting, thus offering a meeting place for staff members, students, and guests from all over the world.
